Our legal basis for processing data is:
⦁ Processing is necessary for the purposes of preventative or occupational medicine, for assessing the working capacity of the employee, medical diagnosis, the provision of health or social care or treatment or management of health or social care systems and services on the basis of Union or Member State law or a contract with a health professional.
⦁ Hard copy and computerised records are stored, reviewed and updated securely and confidentially. Records are securely destroyed when no longer required. To facilitate patients' health care, the personal information may be disclosed to a dentist, doctor, health care professional, hospital, NHS authorities, HMRC or private dental schemes of which the patient is a member
All confidential information is sent via secure methods. Electronic communications and stored data are secure. All computerised clinical records are backed up and encrypted copies are kept off-site. In line with GDPR - as we have your personal details on our database, we also need to confirm that you are happy for us to continue to contact you via email, SMS or post letters.

Dr Szyszko qualified from Guyâ€™s Hospital, then completed her vocational training in the London Deanery, before working for 3 years as a senior house officer in Oral and Maxillofacail Surgery. During this time, she was awarded her MFDS and M.Surg. Dent postgraduate exams.
Subsequently, Dr Szyszko moved to Australia to take up the position of lecturer in oral and maxillofacial surgery at the University of Sydney, working at Westmead and the United Dental Hospitals. This involved clinical teaching, lecturing, and also head and neck anatomy demonstrating. She also worked in general practice for the Australian health care fund.
Having moved back to England, Dr Szyszko is involved in lecturing and examining at the Royal College of Surgeons and is very committed to continuing professional development She has completed many courses including: life support and trauma, sedation, teaching, forensic dentistry and anthropology. She has also completed her postgraduate MSc in dental implants at the University of Warwick. Her professional project was on management of post-operative pain.
Dr Szyszko is a registered specialist with the General Dental Council in oral surgery, providing a wide range of oral surgery procedures, including wisdom tooth extractions, apicectomies, sinus lifts, bone grafting and implants. Dr Szyszko also works in hospital in the speciality of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
